Michigan Child Custody
Posted by admin on September 25th, 2008 filed in GeneralWhen families are going through a divorce it is tough on all involved. People that are considering this option in Michigan should take a look at Michigan child custody laws. This whole process can and will take a toll on both parents and children mentally and emotionally.
There are different avenues that can be taken through this whole process. The parents can try and work something out between themselves to try and take some of the stress off of the whole family. By doing this it will really help the children the most cope better both emotionally and socially.
The parents can also try and work out who will have physical custody of the children. Once this is determined the next step is child support. Usually in Michigan according to their child custody laws the parent with physical custody of the child will get child support payments. If the parent that has physical custody is better suited financially to take care of the children, child support payments may not be necessary.
The parents may also agree between themselves to share physical custody.
If there can be no agreement between the parents, the courts will decide for you.
