That heartless girl! First she wins your heart, then your dog, then your friends. Then she ups and leaves, and now your future is in shambles. You miss her. Your friends miss her. Below are signs that she’s just not interested in rekindling the relationship.

1. She says she needs a break from relationships. You give her space, only to find out that she’s been seeing someone on the sly, and he’s been sleeping over every weekend.

2. She doesn’t return your calls. She’s either away or is in the middle of a chore.

3. She avoids eye contact and shuns physical proximity. That one time you caught up with her in the mall, she wedged the cart between her and you while the two of you talked.

4. She tries to set you up with friends. Whether this means she cares about you and doesn’t want you living alone or she’s doing it because a friend asked her to, this sends out one clear message: she doesn’t want you for herself.

5. She’s vague about her plans. You invite her to lunch and she tells you, "Maybe next time." Next time could be next week, next year, perhaps even next decade.
